VMM Q: Can you tell all the new listeners who are discovering XANTHE SESSIONS for the first time what the show is all about?
Alex Van Reeve: The show itself is about passion, true emotions and the beauty coming out of trance music:) I think that for those who have never heard trance music or my show before Xanthe Sessions will be a nice journey through magical sounds, breakdowns and vocals:) You will find a piece of my trance soul in each episode:) so check it out…
VMM Q: Can you tell us why you wanted to start XANTHE SESSIONS which is now having it’s 1st Birthday?
Alex Van Reeve: Someone once said or wrote that: “At first you need to understand trance music if you want to listen to it” – At the beginning I didn’t understand that:) Today trance music is with me when I am at work, at home, during my vacations, it’s everywhere I go:) I am a big fan of afterhours.fm and I always wanted to have my show there. When Dan (afterhours.fm owner) gave me the green light I was very excited:) With Xanthe Sessions I wanted to share with all the listeners worldwide what lies in my heart thanks to trance music:) It was always my dream to make something special for all trance lovers and to show them how I feel trance music. I love to make people happy and I hope that thanks to my show many people worldwide have a smile on their faces:) This is why I wanted to start Xanthe Sessions. I get many emails from people saying: “thank you” or “you are the best” which is very nice:) I recently got a mail from a guy who wrote that he recently broke up with his girlfriend and that my show helps him in this difficult time. Thank to such words I know that it was worth starting XANTHE SESSIONS:)
VMM Q: Who are your dj hero’s Alex?
Alex Van Reeve: DJ Hero’s – nice question:) Definitely my close friends, which I had the pleasure to meet several times here in Poland like: Sean Tyas, Daniel Kandi, Jonas Stenberg, Alex M.O.R.P.H., I am also a big fan to Armin van Buuren:)

Alex Van Reeve: That’s an easy question: Randy Katana – In Silence (Ron van den Beuken Remix) all time favorite:)
