VMM Top Tune – Marco V – Unprepared (Marcel Woods Remix) InCharge Recordings

WOW!!! Two of my favourite artists and DJ’s have teamed up on what I thought was one of last years best records. ‘Unprepared’ was an absolute stormer of a track last year for Marco V and I’m glad he has recruited the man that continues to push all the musical boundaries to remix it. The vocal you hear in this track separates it from anything else that you would have heard in a while instantaneously. Marco V and Marcel Woods do share a passion for having male vocals in their track which can come across as a very ‘cutting edge’ sound. What both artists do well is use sounds from the Trance and House genre to make tracks that can attract the wider audience and still have that impact on a club floor. Marcel Woods has taken this track and given it a new dimension completely. I feel that he’s given a bigger attraction to a lead sound that was already amazing, created huge amounts of energy by taking the bassline and dirtying it up after the break whilst still incorporating the prominent vocal throughout. It’s without a doubt that last month’s VMM cover artist has done a fantastic job on this remix and it get’s my top tune for this month.
