Having successfully rebooted In Search Of Sunrise into an IDMA-nominated compilation, the latter half of 2010 saw Richard Durand return to the studio. Over six months he recorded the follow-up to his freshman album, Always The Sun. Now he is ready to put the year into overdrive with his much anticipated second long-player. So to the world Richard Durand unveiled his thrilling new album called “Wide Awake” which is in my opinion an outstanding piece of work from this ever growing Dutch maestro of EDM. Richard Durand has a masterful grasp of how to give the listener a journey through his music from the opening track “Burning Piano” which is so simple but sets the scene of what melodic treasures are about to unfold throughout the album of original tracks which are all both fresh and produced to the highest quality.
This is an accomplished album of which can only help stamp further the Richard Durand mark on the Electronic dance music industry we can only wait now with bated breath for what may come next from this dynamic DJ Producer.
