The VMM is pleased to speak to Sander Van Doorn & Marco V who are two of the most popular trance acts on the planet. Sander is currently half way through a major tour of America, whilst Marco has been working on the next instalment of his V.ISION series. However, it’s their eagerly anticipated World Exclusive back-to-back set at The Gallery arena SW4 that all have their eye’s now on. The VMM catches up with them both as we approach the build up towards South West Four the UK’s biggest Dance Music festival 2010.

Great to speak to you both again here at the VMM!

The Interview:

Q: Can you tell the VMM how are you both feeling about the up and coming back to back performance together at this year’s South West Four 2010?

The Gallery Arena SW4 28th AUG 2010

Sander: Very excited! We did a back to back together the other day in Poland and it was out of this world, so SW4 should be amazing!

Marco: Definitely looking forward to SW4 should be a special event!

Q: How and when did you decide to do a back to back for this year’s SW4?

Sander: We have always had a very similar sound.

Marco: Yes we were playing at a festival in Australia two years ago. We were both scheduled to play after one and other, I played, then Sander played then while on stage together we decided to play some records together and it just worked.

Sander: From the positive responses we had we thought that this could be something that we do more in the future – so here we are!

Q: Can you tell the VMM what do you like best about performing at big Global event like South West Four 2010?

Sander: SW4 is on the last bank holiday of the summer and there’s lots going on in London like Notting Hill Carnival so everyone’s always in the party spirit. The bigger events give you the extra buzz as you’re playing to so many people and when it all comes together it’s the best feeling in the world!

Marco: I always enjoy playing big open air events and because SW4 is an urban festival it makes it even more special.

Q: The VMM would like to know what tracks have been going down well for you both this Summer?

Sander: The “Smells like teen spirit” remix by Rene Amesz has been going down very well at the festivals for obvious reasons!

Marco: The stuff from Michael woods is doing really well in my dj sets, and music from Save the robot as well

Q: Can you tell the VMM what new tracks or projects do you both have coming out and will you be dropping any of them at SW4?

Sander: My new compilation ‘Dusk Till Doorn’ has just come out and that has an exclusive track by me called ‘Overflow’ on there. It also has my next single ‘Daddyrock’ which will be out on the Monday following SW4 – 31st August.

Marco: I just started a new record label called TAO en my first track on the label is called Reaver, def. going to play that and also some more new tracks from the label as well

VMM wishes you both best of luck for your forthcoming performance at South West Four this year and continued success for the rest of 2010 with all your forthcoming projects.
