The Interview:
Q: Can you tell the VMM Jerome Isma-Ae how are you feeling about the up and coming performance at this year’s South West Four 2010?
A: can´t wait to play there, i guess it will be a massive event.
Q: Jerome you will be playing the Gallery Arena, so the VMM would like to ask what are the Gallery parties normally as we know you have played at the Gallery Nights at MOS so how do you think the Gallery Vibe will transfer into a festival setting?
A: the lineup of the gallery stage is great, so i´m very sure that the vibe will be huge like always at the gallery
Q: The VMM would like to ask you Jerome do you have any festival survival tips?
A: dont drink too much vodka
Q: For people just discovering you and your music Jerome, can you describe your sound in the studio and on the decks for 2010?
A: its pumpin, rollin and groovin
Q:Jerome Isma-Ae you have been involved in the EDM industry for over a decade and the VMM would love to know when did you decide to become a DJ Producer and have you always loved making music ?
A: cant really tell, it was too long ago, i think i started programming beats with 14 or so.
Q: Can you tell the VMM about your studio set up and what’s your fav bit of studio kit that you are using at the moment?
A: i work with logic for more than 15 years now. for me its the best tool to make music
Q: Can you tell the VMM viewers what new Jerome Isma-ae releases and remixes can we expect to see hit the download stores this summer and beyond?
A: i´m working on an album at the moment, maybe its done till the end of the year. lets see……
Q: Can you tell the VMM what was it that drew you to producing progressive house than any other genre?
A: no, not really. i think that i just do my thing, however you want to call it.
Q: We hear at the VMM that you also produce music for Film & TV so can you tell us is this a very different way of creating music for Film & TV than producing a hit dance track and what new projects are you currently working on for this sort of your music?
A: if you make a track for the dancefloor, it has to groove and kick peoples asses, if you make a song for a film, then the song has to fit with the picture.
Q: Jerome Isma-ae what do you like best about performing at a big Global event like South West Four 2010?
A: playing for a lot of people, with many of other aritst, thats what i like
VMM wishes Jerome Isma-ae good luck for your forthcoming performance at South West Four this year and continued success for the rest of 2010 with all your forthcoming projects.
thank you
